Theodicy – Sorted

Think about the 2004 Tsunami. This was caused by an earthquake, plate-tectonics, completely out of the control of mankind.

What about God? What was he doing as 230,000 people, including infants who hadn’t had time to sin, suffered and died?

Regarding God and the prevention of suffering (Theodicy)

  • If he could but wouldn’t – he isn’t good
  • If he would but couldn’t – he isn’t God

That about wraps it up for God really. Feel free to comment.

PS I’d love to claim this as all my own work but it’s not, I nicked it from a chap called Epicurus
